Decisions made
- The direction reminds of the possibility of funding new projects within Revue3.0. Proposals must be submitted using the form provided for this purpose and will be discussed within the executive committee for approval.
- Following the discussions during the plenary meeting, the permanent workshop on algorithmic approaches will welcome external experts.
- The Debug Your Humanities workshops (or other training sessions) may be organized outside the University of Montreal.
- The working group on open peer evaluation will focus on the case study of the journal Itinéraires and will consist of two main components: formalizing the journal’s current evaluation protocol and experimenting with a new protocol within the framework of a dedicated journal issue. This experimentation will continue until the publication of the issue by Itinéraires, projected over a two-year timeframe.
New proposals:
- Nicolas Sauret proposes to organize an academic workshop dedicated to writing protocols. The proposal was accepted, and the details will be discussed at the next executive committee meeting.
- Suzan Beth (Érudit) proposes the organization of an academic workshop on themes related to scholarly publishing. The proposal was accepted, and the details will be discussed at the next executive committee meeting.
- Susan Brown proposes the organization of a workshop around the semantic web and projects within the LINCS infrastructure. The proposal was accepted, and the details will be discussed at the next executive committee meeting.
- The MSHB, a partner represented by Florence Daniel and Servanne Monjour, is willing to host events on its premises.
- Benoît Epron mentions the possibility of a collaboration with an external institution; he will formalize a proposition.
- Given the significant costs associated with organizing an in-person plenary meeting, the next general assembly will be held remotely. Following Servanne Monjour’s proposal, gathering places will nevertheless be provided to allow geographically close participants to follow the event collectively.
Issues
It is necessary to strengthen internal communication within the partnership and each axis. The autonomous use of the Revue3.0 forum as well as the mailing list is strongly encouraged.
Benoît Epron emphasizes the importance of also organizing events aimed at the general public.
