- Date: November 15-30, 2024
- Time: 9 A.M. - 11 A.M.

- Instructor: Yann Audin
Yann Audin (PhD candidate in Digital Humanities at the University of Montreal and Project Manager at the Canada Research Chair on Digital Textualities) will lead two hands-on project-based workshops designed for participants with no prior programming experience.
In this two-part workshop series, participants will learn the basics of programming for computational literary studies. Using a project-based learning approach, the workshops are specifically designed for complete beginners. By the end of the first session, participants will be able to import a text using the Python programming language, compute basic statistics for a literary text, and automatically generate a list of characters and places mentioned in the text.
