Conference in Rouen : Digital editions and "bricolage"

2025-06-30 → 2025-07-01

In partnership with Revue 3.0 and the CRIHN, the Chair of Excellence in Digital Publishing (CEEN) at the University of Rouen Normandy will hold its first conference in Rouen, focusing on the DIY practices of digital publishing producers and users.

The metaphor of bricolage, proposed by Claude Lévi-Strauss in La Pensée sauvage in 1962, has been widely adopted to examine the technical, practical, and political dimensions of the digital humanities in recent years. This conference aims to continue these discussions around digital publishing. Experimentation with new forms of writing, the invention of publishing chains through the rearrangement of computer components, and the epistemological and professional tensions of collective and individual bricolage will be, among other topics, at the heart of our discussions.
