Wide-ranging meeting of scholarly journals

2025-01-29

As part of the Revue3.0 project, we aim to organize a meeting designed to create a dedicated space for exchange among the editorial teams of the journals participating in the partnership. This event will provide an opportunity to discuss current challenges, share experiments, present ongoing projects, and explore the specific needs of scholarly journals today.

The meeting will consist of two parts. The first, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, will feature presentations on the types of experiments currently underway. During this time, we invite you to participate in a collaborative discussion centered around the project's main themes. The second part, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, will be a workshop introducing and demonstrating the Stylo text editor, a digital tool developed to address the dissemination and discoverability challenges of scholarly journals. If you are already familiar with Stylo, this second session is optional.

Lunch boxes will be provided for those attending in person. We kindly ask that you indicate whether you plan to participate in person or remotely and whether you will join the Stylo workshop, to help us make the necessary arrangements. A brief agenda will be sent on Monday to those who confirm their attendance.

To make the collaborative discussion session as productive as possible, we encourage you to prepare a brief overview of your questions, workflows, ongoing projects, or other initiatives to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among the participating journal teams. Given the limited time available during the meeting, the primary goal is to establish working groups afterward, bringing together journals with shared interests and similar challenges to enable more in-depth and meaningful exchanges.

As a reminder, the meeting will be held in a hybrid format on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Montreal time, UTC-05:00). The in-person session will take place in Room C-8132 of the Lionel-Groulx Pavilion at the Université de Montréal (3150 Jean-Brillant Street), and the online session will be accessible via the following link: https://bbb.futuretic.fr/rooms/dks-kc7-rag-ej5/join.

We look forward to engaging with you!
