Arilys Jia
Arilys Jia is pursuing a PhD in French literature at Université Laval and Université de Lausanne. Her thesis project examines the phenomena of protagonism, existential decision-making and contingency in Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-style stories. Her research areas also include literary arts, as a member of the Ex-situ laboratory, and contemporary Quebec literature; she has edited a special issue on France Théoret in Spirale and is a contributor in the coming La littérature québécoise contemporaine à l’épreuve de l’Histoire. She is coordinator of the academic journal Sens public and Web editor for the student journal in literary studies Fémur.
