Suggestions for bibliographic references in Stylo
The project aims to study ways to suggest relationships between an article in progress and a set of potentially relevant documents for the author. This will facilitate the circulation of knowledge and the integration of research within various communities. Additionally, it will enhance the discoverability of existing articles, particularly by using French-language databases highlighted by the Isidore search engine.
Issues
The processes of searching for and discovering scientific documents in the context of scholarly article writing are seldom analyzed or modeled. This implies that practices are often underdeveloped and that existing digital environments implement almost no functionalities to aid this work. Consequently, some content, especially those written in French compared to those in English, becomes invisible. This project aims to study document search practices, model them, and design their integration into a writing environment.
Technical challenges
We will use the semi-automatic analysis of the semantic context of articles to generate queries on the Isidore search engine API. This will allow us to suggest documents that could be relevant to the authors' work directly within Stylo's writing interface.
Research activities
